We're back at wandong

Finally we are back at Wandong. After such a turmultuous year for so many, Melbourne have finally reached a status quo of no local Covid infections, which means we are now able to meet again in the hall at Wandong. There are some stipulations such as registering when entering the hall, using our hand sanitiser and no more sharing of morning tea, but these are small changes which we all accept if it means we can get together again.

It was so nice to see everyone again and although it was a whole year we spent apart from each other it certainly didn't feel like it. Setting up the WOW Facebook Group really seems to have done the trick and kept everyone in touch.

We have dived right back in and are in the midst of organising the Harrietville Retreat. Harrietville is fully booked and is currently on schedule. All the relevant information has been sent out to the ladies who have registered to attend. We are asking that those of you who have any types of food allergies to please contact Fay as soon as possible as these need to be submitted to the cook next week. If anyone has any outstanding payments to make - please make them as soon as possible.

Fay will also soon be setting a date for the Circle Quilt Workshop, as soon as the date has been set we will notify you. Fay is also looking at some other workshops, some of which may be run in smaller groups from her studio. These workshops and the dates will be posted on the in2quilting website and on Facebook once dates are firmed up.

In2quilting has some new ranges of fabrics available. There are the very popular Moda Dreamscapes by Ira Kennedy and the Bee Grateful range by Deb Stain. At $25 per metre and $16 for the panels they are a great price. Fay also has the Bee Grateful in layer cakes - $82.50 and FQ Packs $220 which includes the black panel. There are other layer cakes available and plenty of new Fat Quarters to be had.

In Bring and Brag we had the opportunity to see what the ladies had been up to during Covid, it was fabulous to see so many of the Covid Challenge quilts. Each of the challenge quilts very different from the next.

As Fay has been busy setting up her new studio during Covid we will be seeing plenty of new fabrics popping up at Wandong, whether they be by the bolt, by the meter or as Fat Quarters. We will also be seeing a range of Felts, remainders of flannels and older ranges of fabrics along with the continuation of Grunge from time to time. Grunge club is no longer running, but that will not be the end of Grunge at In2quilting, Fay will still be buying in new bolts but not in the same quantities as she did in the past.

In meantime we hope you all have a very Happy Easter and enjoy your break and this time with family and friends. Please stay safe and keep sewing, we love seeing your creations.
