Bouncing into Easter

Once again we had a wonderful gathering in March, with a great variety of Bring and Brag to inspire each other, along with plenty of encouragement and congratulations to those who are powering through their UFOs.

Some of the quilts shown during the Bring and Brag session have opened our eyes to new techniques, reminded us of what we can create with lessons learnt in previous classes and shown us that we don't necessarily have to follow a pattern to the letter - why not put your own individual stamp on your creation.

As Fay is currently going through some personal upheavals in her life, things have quietened down for the time being in her creative sphere. Workshops, planned promotions and clearance sales (antique sewing machines and more..) have been put on the back burner but not forgotten. Watch this space for further news.

Fay asked me to let you all know that the April WOW planned for Friday the 21st will still go ahead as usual, as will Harrietville.

In the coming week or two Fay will be issuing a newsletter to the Harrietville ladies with a reminder of what to bring and what to plan for. In the meantime Harrietville ladies don't forget to work on your Indigenous Challenge and start considering which UFOs or which new quilts you plan on bringing along to work on.

With Easter coming up (finally) and the school holidays upon us, I hope you are getting some time away to enjoy some me time, whether it's some sewing or, with the lovely weather we are currently experiencing, the great outdoors are very tempting. We are also now getting into Quilt Show season, with plenty of shows on in April both near and far afield. Pinned to the top of the In2quilting Facebook Page is a post showing "What's On In April" if you are at a loss for something to do, perhaps there maybe something there to tempt you.

Happy Easter, hope to see you on Friday the 21st at WOW.......

For more photos from the WOW gatherings why not have a look at the In2quilting Flickr site.
