Fay is making great progress in her recovery, very much looking forward to getting back on track. She is buzzing with ideas for future workshops and getting closer to setting a date for the Charity day.
Congratulations are also in order - Barb Moloney was the winner of the Paula Nadelstern Fat Quarter pack promoting the website.

The September WOW gathering is coming up this Friday the 16th of September. For those of you who are wondering what in world is WOW. WOW is the name of Fays Wandong Gatherings. It is an abbreviation for What's on in Wandong.
These gatherings happen once a month on a Friday (rarely the same Friday each month, so check the calendar)
If you would like to come along, register via the website or with an email to Fay. Bring some hand sewing or your machine and whatever project you are working on. Bring some show and tell, there is always a Bring and Brag session and the ladies look forward to being inspired and admiring each others work, with plenty of encouraging words. Bring a plate to share for morning and afternoon tea, again the ladies are always encouraging and appreciative of home made goodies. If you are short on fabric, wadding, thread etc Fay always has her shop on hand.
Do I really need to register for WOW? you may ask. The answer is a resounding yes. To ensure that there is enough seating and tables for everyone Fay would like to know exact numbers prior to setup on the Friday. This saves the annoyance of having to shuffle everything after you've sat down and started sewing, when needing to make space for an unexpected arrival. We love and welcome your company but please register your interest via the webpage or with an email or phone call to Fay prior to the next WOW gathering.
Every month there is an item/s on the Charity table for raffling or purchase. The money raised is collected for the yearly chosen charity - this year it is for Alzheimer's.
Please do not bring along more magazines for the charity table - we have plenty. This month there has been a generous donation of Patterns, some of which will be on the table for raffling and some for purchasing. So bring plenty of gold coins, just in case you see something to inspire a new project. Due to the number of Patterns some will be held over for further dates.

The Destash groups work in the same way as Buy, Swap, Sell groups & Ebay. Some sellers request payment by cash and pickup, some paypal and post etc.
And for those of you who get out and about in our wide brown land, dare I say "Grey Nomads", it may be worth your while joining the group Quilting Travelers. This Group shares news about quilt shows, workshops, etc around Australia, allowing travelers the opportunity to get their Quilty Fix while travelling.
You can find all of these groups by searching in the field where you search for friends and then request to join.
