This year the In2quilting Harrietville Retreat ran from the 23rd of May - 28th of May. There were 32 ladies in attendance, plus Fay.
With 6 whole days to sit and do nothing but sewing one would think we would get a lot done. Well we did, but not all of it was sewing. There was the retail therapy both at Fay's pop up store and in Bright. There were plenty of walks - in the bush, along the levee, and most often to the Swiss bakery in town. Fay even managed to escape for a walk and a coffee at the Bakery.
There were the frivolities - a visit from Joe Dirt, the dress up night, the pre-dinner games and the one-liners. There was also the ever so generous Dear Jane.
And yes we also managed plenty of sewing, with some wonderful quilts, bags and wall hangings finished, started and planned over the week.
For more photos from the retreat please visit our Flikr site or the In2quilting Facebook page.
Thank you ladies for your wonderful company, your praise of each others work, your welcoming natures, your encouragement and willingness to help others, your generosity and your fun spirit. We look forward to seeing you all again next year.
For those that are interested in joining us next year, we are already very close to full capacity (circa 41 ladies currently registered), however, you are more than welcome to contact Fay at firstname.lastname@example.org and ask to be placed on the waiting list just in case somebody drops out.
A reminder that the next Wandong gathering is Friday the 16th of June. Please register your interest to attend by emailing email@example.com
Keep warm and keep on sewing.
